Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions (“Agreement”) outline the terms under which artists may participate in “The Revue” artist showcase (the “Event”) hosted by Abstract XM, Apex Marketing, and Cartel Promotions (collectively referred to as the “Promoter”). By registering and participating in the Event, you (“Artist” or “Participant”) agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:

  1. Eligibility:
    • All participants must be at least 13 years of age to register.
    • Artists under the age of 18 require written parental consent to participate, which must be submitted before the performance.
  2. Event Recording and Streaming:
    • The Event will be recorded and streamed on IND TV accessed via Roku.
    • Artists are encouraged to ensure their music is registered with appropriate agencies to collect royalties.
  3. Competition Criteria:
    • The competition will be based on real numbers, including streams, listener feedback, and voting.
  4. Song Submission and Originality:
    • Participants must submit an original song that has been mastered and is free of samples for distribution.
    • It is recommended that artists perform original musical works, although it is not a strict requirement.
    • Original musical works must not infringe on copyright laws, including cover songs, instrumentals, or other compositions.
  5. Registration and Fees:
    • Registration fee for each act/group is $200 (Promotional Rate) or equivalent to selling 10 tickets at $20 each.
      • Top 3 artists based on tix sales will receive a complimentary booth. (This one of the prizes awarded to the artist that can promote themselves.)
    • Pre-registration is highly recommended.
    • No refunds will be issued after payment, unless the event is canceled by the Promoter.
  6. Performance Details:
    • Each artist/group will be allocated a performance time of seven (5) minutes.
    • Additional time cannot be granted, and no act may pay for extra time on the day of the event.
  7. Booth Availability:
    • Booths/sections are available at $200 ea. (Includes 6 tix per booth). Does not include bottle.
  8. Image and Likeness Release:
    • Participants grant Abstract XM, Apex Marketing, Cartel Promotions, and associated employees’ permission to use their image, likeness, and stage name for promotional purposes in e-programs, flyers, posters, and online properties, including social media.
  9. Submission Deadline:
    • All songs and materials must be submitted by the specified deadline. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the participant’s position in the competition.
  10. Photography and Filming:
    • Participants acknowledge and agree to being photographed and/or filmed on the day of the performance.
  11. No Guns or Weapons Policy:
    • No guns or weapons are allowed on the premises or during the performance.
  12. Independent Artists and Labels:
    • The Revue is an artist showcase primarily for independent artists and those signed to independent labels without major distribution.
  13. Agreement Acceptance:
    • By registering and participating in the Event, artists acknowledge their understanding and acceptance of these terms and conditions.

These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding artist participation in “The Revue” showcase. The Promoter reserves the right to modify or update these terms at its discretion. Any changes will be communicated to participants in advance.

 

 

Code of Conduct

We are committed to creating a safe and respectful environment for all attendees, performers, and staff at our artist showcase. To ensure a positive experience for everyone, we ask that you adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

  1. Respect and Non-Violence: Absolutely no violence, threats, or aggressive behavior of any kind will be tolerated on the premises.

  2. Gang Activity: This event is a space for artistic expression and community engagement. Any form of gang-related activity is strictly prohibited and should remain outside the event.

  3. No Weapons: For the safety of all participants, no weapons, including knives, guns, bats, pipes, tasers, Swiss army knives, box cutters, or any other sharp objects, are allowed on the premises.

  4. Respectful Audience Behavior: Respect your fellow performers and attendees. No heckling, booing, or any form of harassment towards performers or audience members is permitted.

  5. Zero Tolerance for Harassment: Any form of sexual harassment, including but not limited to blowing kisses, making obscene gestures, whistling, or unwanted physical contact, is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated.

  6. Appropriate Language: Maintain a respectful and inclusive atmosphere by refraining from using vulgar, offensive, or inappropriate language towards anyone.

  7. Respect Personal Property: Stealing merchandise or personal effects of performers or attendees is a violation of our code of conduct and will result in immediate removal.

  8. Appropriate Attire and Behavior: Please dress appropriately and engage in behavior that is respectful and considerate of others. Inappropriate or disruptive behavior, including stripping or any form of indecency, will not be tolerated.

  9. Consequences of Violation: Violation of any of the above rules will result in immediate ejection from the event and disqualification from participation.

By attending this artist showcase, you acknowledge and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. We are dedicated to fostering a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all participants, and your cooperation is essential in achieving this goal.
